Because the real world is overrated.
What's going on here?
We're a couple of 20-somethings, married since 2007, who are picking up our well-established Boston lives to spend a year in the mountains of San Diego. We'll be working at a camp/outdoor education & retreat center where we'll chop wood, wash dishes and lead children on hikes through the woods. After years of working in event management, advertising agencies and magazine publishing, it will be quite a change. First is the road trip. Then is the real adventure. What's in a name?
The blog's title is pulled from a song from the movie 'Once,' which you can hear here. Our ship wasn't quite sinking, but we liked the line anyway.
